Job Title: Art Teacher - Melbourne

Koonung Secondary College is a renowned educational institution in Melbourne's Eastern suburbs. We are seeking an exceptional classroom art teacher to join our team.

The selected candidate will be expected to:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the relevant curriculum and experience in responding to student learning needs.
  • Plan and implement high-impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluate the impact on student learning growth.
  • Monitor and assess student learning, using data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback to students and parents.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, and the broader school community to support student learning and agency.
  • Reflect on practice and engage in professional learning to continually improve the quality of teaching.

Key Responsibilities: As a classroom art teacher, you will be responsible for planning, preparation, and teaching programs to achieve specific student outcomes. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and priorities, and assist in increasing staff knowledge about effective teaching practices.

This role plays a significant part in assisting the school to improve student performance and educational outcomes determined by the school strategic plan and state-wide priorities.
