About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Infrastructure Designer to join our high-performing team in our Melbourne CBD office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality and innovative civil designs and documentation for single and multi-unit dwellings and basements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high quality and innovative civil designs and documentation for single and multi-unit dwellings and basements
  • End-to-end ownership of project work from concept design to construction within delivery timeframes, including visiting, attending, and managing client meetings to discuss scope of works, expectations, and problem-solving
  • Liaising and managing communications with councils, various clients, and other relevant project stakeholders across multiple disciplines
  • Working closely with internal engineers to ensure accurate completion of projects
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum qualification of a Bachelor Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized tertiary institution
  • Previous exposure and experience with designing pump systems, onsite detention systems, outfall drains, general civil drainage, and ideally structural experience with residential and low-rise apartment buildings
  • Experience in the design of stormwater and drainage layout for residential buildings
  • Proficient in the use of engineering design software tools, including OSD4, Melbourne Stormwater, and Music Modelling (preferred)
  • An ability to build rapport with all types of clients and project stakeholders
  • Advanced ability to interpret the requirements of Australian standards and building codes
