We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Accounts Clerk to join our Foundation and Community Team at Penrith Rugby League.

About the Role

This is a part-time opportunity, working 8 hours per week as one full day or two split days. The successful candidate will have the initiative to work independently and also enjoy the support of a friendly team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend and support Foundation & Community events from a finance perspective as required;
  • Keep track and process accounts and incoming/outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures;
  • Perform day-to-day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording Bank Transactions;
  • Reconcile the Bank Accounts for Multiple entities and ledgers;
  • Balance sheet reconciliations;
  • Process Banking statements into GL;
  • Prepare cash flow documentation;
  • Credit card reconciliations (and processing);
  • Processing of daily sales loads into the financial system in a timely manner;
  • Back up AR/AP team (full function including preparation of payments);
  • Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits;
  • Collaborate with finance team to facilitate month-end & year-end close;
  • Maintenance of Fixed Asset register;
  • Process other Transactional Data as required;
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements
  • 1-2+ years previous relevant experience in an accounts clerk role;
  • Certificate 4 or Diploma of accounting and/or completed 1-2 years minimum of an accounting qualification with a view to complete while working;
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritise whilst building positive internal and external relationships;
  • Problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • MYOB accounting software or equivalent - preferred;
  • Intermediate computer skills and thorough administration practices;
  • High Attention to detail;
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
