The Opportunity

We're seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Data Governance team, you'll be responsible for implementing and driving Data Governance initiatives across UniSuper. This includes leading Data Catalogue uplifts, Data Literacy engagement, and supporting the data management journey at UniSuper.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the Data Office in UniSuper projects, Risk & Compliance, and Technology forums as required.
  • Develop and implement Data Governance policies, procedures, and standards to support the Data Governance Framework.
  • Ensure Data Governance policies, procedures, and standards are operationalised across the organisation.
  • Support Data Owners and Data Stewards on their Data Governance journey.
  • Implement Data Governance processes, frameworks, policies, and standards across the business.
  • Contribute to internal and external audits as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience in at least 2 of the Data Management Areas (Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Risk, Data Modelling, Reporting).
  • Hands-on experience in developing and managing Data Catalogues processes and Tools.
  • Strong analysis experience on systems and processes in Super Industry or Fund Management.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory framework under which superannuation funds operate.
  • Strong knowledge in DAMA-DAMBOK or other Governance Control frameworks.
  • Experienced in working with SQL, Python.
  • Experienced in analysis of data across different systems and can analyse data models.
  • Experienced in data governance issue resolution.
  • Experienced with Alation or other data cataloguing solution.

What We Offer
  • 17% super as standard but with the ability to dial down to 11.5%
  • Additional 3 days paid leave over the Christmas period – equating to 5 weeks leave.
