Job Title: National Engineering Manager - Maritime

About the Role:

  • We are seeking an experienced National Engineering Manager to provide strategic oversight of Engineering Services across our Defence Maritime and Training Systems portfolio.
  • You will be responsible for improving the performance, compliance, and availability of critical Defence systems, while ensuring alignment with the Navy Technical Regulatory Framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead national engineering oversight across diverse Defence contracts
  2. Ensure compliance with Navy Technical Regulatory Frameworks
  3. Manage configuration, obsolescence, and maintenance systems
  4. Conduct technical analysis and risk assessments for engineering decisions
  5. SUPPORT engineering investigations and change management with OEMs
  6. Mentor technical teams and review engineering artefacts and task completion

Requirements:

  • Over 5 years of maintenance management experience in a naval defence setting
  • Strong knowledge of naval engineering and Defence sustainment practices
  • Proficiency in interpreting and acting on complex technical data
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • Familiarity with the Royal Australian Navy Technical Regulatory Framework
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Visio and Project
  • Australian Citizen in order to achieve and maintain a defence security clearance of NV1
