About the Role

Globe Home Timber & Hardware is seeking a highly skilled Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and promoting our products to meet customer needs.

  • You will be responsible for performing customer sales and service transactions, including handling cash, cheques, credit cards, EFTPOS, and other payment methods.
  • You will proactively engage customers in sales, answer product queries, and source and place orders for customers.
  • You will assist with unpacking stock in the Goods Receiving area and actively promote products and services.
  • You will also be responsible for measuring and cutting timber and trims as required.
  • You will ensure that your stock items are organised, prices are clearly displayed, and stock is at optimum levels.
  • Additionally, you will be responsible for tinting paint, cutting keys, and other retail-associated tasks.

  • Ability to work in a customer-facing role.
  • Good time management and prioritising skills.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Ability to respond well to leadership.
  • Knowledge of the Globe Home Timber & Hardware business.

Desirable Requirements

  • Forklift license.
  • Knowledge of hardware or building trades.
