About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Instructor to join our team at Central Coast Council. As a Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality fitness programs and classes to our community, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and effective fitness classes to participants of all ages and fitness levels
  • Develop and implement new fitness programs and classes to meet the needs of our community
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for all participants
  • Work collaboratively with our team to achieve our fitness goals and objectives
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our fitness programs and services
Requirements
  • Registered Fitness Professional with a Group Exercise Leader or Aqua certification
  • Current Provide First Aid qualification (HLTAID003 / HLTAID011)
  • Current Provide Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) (HLTAID001 / HLTAID009)
  • Working with Children Check Clearance Number or Application Number as per Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulation 2013, or willingness to obtain prior to any offer of employment
  • Demonstrated experience delivering group fitness classes or programs
  • Demonstrated ability to participate and actively contribute in a team environment to achieve organisational goals and outcomes
  • Strong customer service ethos and a demonstrated customer-centric approach to service provision
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with other staff and members of the public both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to embrace change and commitment to work across multiple work locations and across the spread of hours 6:00am – 7:30pm Monday to Friday as well as mornings on the weekend
What We Offer
  • Casual position up to 38 hours per week
  • Salary $64.48 per normal class (includes 25% casual loading) + 11% superannuation
  • Penalty rates apply for weekend work
