We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is a high-profile role that involves delivering exceptional service to customers while performing scheduled maintenance and repair work.

  • As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for ensuring all faults are fixed and quickly resolved through thorough fault finding and troubleshooting techniques.
  • You will also be required to complete scheduled services to ensure customer requirements and service agreements are upheld, and to guarantee the safety of the customer's equipment.
  • Your daily workload must be managed effectively to ensure that all jobs are attended to within the specified time frames.
  • You will need to check fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance, and fit using precision measuring instruments.
  • In addition, you will diagnose faults and perform operational maintenance of forklifts, and overhaul and repair mechanical parts and fluid power equipment.
  • You will be expected to cut, thread, bend, and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines as per specifications.
  • A professional level of service must be delivered at all times.
  • Maintaining an accurate service diary/time sheet record of work performed is essential.

To be considered for this position, applicants should have:

  • AQF Certificate III in Forklift Technology or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Or AQF Certificate III Mechanical Trade or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in servicing, diagnostics, and hydraulic systems.
  • Demonstrated understanding of electrical systems.
