Disability Support Professional Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Disability Support Professional to join our team and make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities.

As a Disability Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to participants with complex and challenging behaviors. Your primary goal will be to improve their quality of life by developing and implementing individualized support plans that promote independence and self-advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Building strong relationships with participants, their families, and service providers
  • Providing expert advice on evidence-based approaches to reduce the impact of challenging behavior
  • Ensuring support services align with NDIS plans and goals
  • Conducting behavioral assessments and developing intervention strategies in consultation with individuals and families
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with NDIS standards
Requirements:
  • Degree qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or related field
  • Experience working with people with intellectual and/or cognitive disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A current driver's license with willingness to drive to offsite meetings and client visits
  • Knowledge of restrictive practices and good clinical practice
