We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team at Petbarn, Australasia's leading pet specialty retailer. About the Role

As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and contributing to the overall success of our store. You will work closely with our team to achieve sales targets, maintain a clean and organized store environment, and provide a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including pet care and nutrition, to provide accurate advice to customers
  • Contribute to the achievement of sales targets, through effective merchandising and promotional activities
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve store goals and objectives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsA strong customer service focus, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentBasic knowledge of pet care and nutrition, with a willingness to learn and develop your skillsAbility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidaysPhysical ability to lift and move stock, as required
