Senior Policy Advisor">

The role of Senior Policy Advisor is a pivotal position within the National Energy Transformation Division, tasked with spearheading the transition to a clean energy future. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with state and territory governments, as well as other Commonwealth Departments and agencies, to drive Australia-wide change and help achieve the Australian Government's emissions reduction and renewable energy targets.

Key Responsibilities:">

  • Brief senior executives and ministers on policy matters, both in writing and verbally">
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy development">
  • Develop robust and evidence-based policy advice for consideration by energy ministers">
  • Draft papers for submission to government, including new policy proposals and whole-of-government submissions">
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including market participants, energy market bodies, and state and territory governments, on specific issues">
  • Manage complex government processes to a high standard">
  • Supervise and develop staff">
