Security Services Officer Casual

Seeking a Security Services Officer to provide comprehensive non-clinical support in maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

The role involves regular patrols, incident investigations, and providing security risk management services. A strong understanding of security procedures, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills is essential.

Key responsibilities include operating security systems, issuing access cards, and responding to emergency situations. Strong computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office and database systems, is required.

This casual position offers the opportunity to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. A high standard of personal presentation, punctuality, and flexibility to work varied shifts is expected.

A valid Certificate II in Security Services or higher and a current Security Officer Licence are mandatory. Additionally, first aid certification is necessary.

Job Requirements:

  • Undertake regular patrols and active surveillance of hospital buildings and grounds.
  • Investigate all incidents related to breaches of physical and personal security.
  • Provide reports and recommendations on security risk management.
  • Operate security systems, including access control software.
  • Issue security cards and CCTV system operation.
  • Respond to emergency situations according to the Emergency Procedures Manual.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality on sensitive security matters.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance to parking equipment.
