Role Overview:
Mediix is looking for an experienced Emergency Medicine Consultant to be part of a committed team within a dynamic regional healthcare service. This role presents an excellent opportunity to engage in a vibrant community while focusing on delivering exceptional emergency medical care.
Primary Duties:
- Oversee a varied spectrum of medical cases, with approximately 25% involving pediatric patients and a considerable trauma workload.
- Deliver specialized clinical services aligned with the Clinical Services Capability Framework and the clinical privileges assigned.
- Support remote hospitals and rural facilities through Telehealth and face-to-face assistance.
- Contribute to pioneering pre-hospital care initiatives, including Hospital in the Home (HITH) and Geriatric Emergency Department Intervention (GEDI) programs.
- Participate in the establishment of a new Emergency Department.
- Benefit from flexible and fair scheduling that harmonizes service demands with academic commitments.
- Potential involvement in the Regional Aeromedical Retrieval Service.
- Engage in a robust postgraduate education and training program, including ACEM fellowship and diploma training.
- Provide mentorship and training for junior medical personnel, medical students, and other healthcare professionals.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Registration: Specialist Registration with AHPRA is required.
