We're seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice Tiler.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be stepping into a dynamic learning environment where they'll be placed with one of our host employers and guided through the intricacies of the trade. You'll have hands-on opportunities to work on real projects, gaining valuable skills and experience.

  • You can expect to work full-time, 40 hours per week + the opportunity to accrue an RDO each month.
  • This apprenticeship duration is 4 years, providing you with ample time to become trade qualified and earn your Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling.

As a Tiling apprentice, you can expect to:

  • Assist in preparing surfaces for tiling, including cleaning and leveling.
  • Learn to cut, shape, and lay tiles accurately to achieve desired patterns and designs.
  • Assist in the application of adhesives, grout, and sealants.
  • Observe safety practices and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional tiling projects.
  • Be proactive in seeking knowledge and improvement in tiling techniques.
  • Any other tasks requested by the host employer.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will ideally meet the following criteria:

  • Genuine interest and enthusiasm for the Tiling trade.
  • Must hold a White Card or able to obtain ASAP.
  • Hold a current Drivers License and have own reliable transport.
  • Work Experience within the construction industry is highly desirable.
  • Must be physically fit.
  • Be a perfectionist with an eye for the finer details.
  • Be reliable, resilient, motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to take direction.
  • Ability to work well in a team and take direction from others.
