Sheet Metal Fabricator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team at Ready Resources. As a key member of our maintenance and asset management team, you will play a critical role in delivering solutions to our large mining clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Sheet Metal Fabrication: With a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, you will be responsible for fabricating sheet metal products to meet client specifications.
- Trade Certificates: You must hold a recognized trade certificate, such as a Cert 3 Australian qualification, or be working towards obtaining one.
- Safety and Quality: You will be committed to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to industry best practices, and ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Driver's License: You must hold a valid Australian C-class driver's license.

- FIFO Opportunities: You will have the opportunity to work on FIFO (Fly-In, Fly-Out) projects from Perth and surrounding areas with 8/6 rosters.

- Sheet Metal Experience: You must have at least 1 year of hands-on sheet metal experience.
- Reading and Interpretation: You will be responsible for reading drawings, work orders, and production schedules to determine product or job instructions and specifications.
- Welding Operations: You will operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal using gas shielded metal arc.
- Quality Control: You will examine work for defects and measure with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Tool Operation: You will set up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment, grinders, and carbon rod gauging.
- Equipment Maintenance: You will detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials or products and notify supervisors.
- Worksite Management: You will accept responsibility for the day-to-day activities required and undertaken at the work site.
- Maintenance Standards: You will ensure that appropriate maintenance methods and standards are applied while carrying out maintenance functions.
- Housekeeping: You will ensure that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times.
- Liaison: You will liaise with supervisors regarding machine breakdowns, day-to-day maintenance of machinery, and machine safety and guarding.
- Work Approval: You will ensure that all work to be carried out has been approved through a purchase order.
- Timesheet Management: You will correctly complete daily and weekly timesheets clearly indicating job numbers and purchase order numbers.
