Electrical Network Development Expert

This exciting opportunity is part of our ongoing efforts to improve the resilience and efficiency of our high-voltage transmission network. As an Electrical Network Development Expert, you will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to evaluate customer connection proposals and negotiate performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate customer connection proposals and negotiate performance standards;
  • Develop and maintain power system models to support secure and operable system performance;
  • Support system capability and security analysis, operational planning, and equipment rating assessments;
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders such as AEMO, SAPN, and ESCOSA;

The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline and demonstrate strong understanding of transmission system reliability, substation components, and operational performance. Additionally, experience with power system modelling tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, and PLEXOS is highly desirable.
