Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and physically fit Maintenance Assistant to support our welding team in the completion of various tasks and projects.

The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of mechanical systems and a keen eye for safety protocols. Strong communication skills are essential for working effectively with team members and supervisors.

This role requires the ability to lift and move heavy equipment, as well as work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare work sites and ensure they meet safety standards
  • Handle equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Assist experienced welders in completing tasks and projects

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., metalwork, engineering)
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work at heights

Working Conditions

  • Indoor and outdoor work environments
  • Exposure to dust, heat, and chemicals
  • Variable schedules and overtime may be required
