Accounts Payable Officer - 12mth Parental Leave Contract

The purpose of this role is to administer the accounts payable ledger, ensuring that expenditure is promptly and accurately recorded whilst maintaining financial process controls.

This includes processing invoices in Basware, handling creditor enquiries, and undertaking a range of operational activities associated with accounts payable, such as providing advice to internal and external customers, monthly reconciliations, and other relevant duties.

To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 2 years' experience within a high-volume accounts payable team, proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and various ERP Software including Basware and Procura, and demonstrated experience with accounts payable workflow processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer the accounts payable ledger, ensuring prompt and accurate recording of expenditure.
  • Process invoices in Basware, validate and ensure timely payment to creditors.
  • Handle creditor enquiries, respond promptly and professionally.
  • Undertake a range of operational activities associated with accounts payable, including providing advice to internal and external customers, monthly reconciliations, and other relevant duties.
  • Process petty cash for various locations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within a high-volume accounts payable team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and various ERP Software including Basware and Procura.
  • Demonstrated experience with accounts payable workflow processes.
  • Related tertiary qualification, highly desirable.
