About the Role

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled Curriculum Support Officer to provide administrative support to the college senior leadership team.

The successful applicant will work in close consultation with the Principal, Director of International Operations and Deputy Principal Curriculum to ensure the provision of accurate and timely data and statistical reports for the college and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage curriculum related databases for international and local students
  • Provide effective administrative support to the senior leadership team
  • Develop, implement and monitor business systems
  • Identify priorities and meet deadlines in a busy office environment
  • Model effective customer and administrative support services
  • Interact productively with education agents, international and local students and their families, as well as with representatives of government agencies and other stakeholder groups

Requirements

  • An Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment
  • A valid Working With Children Check before starting
  • Consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective administrative support and input into the development, implementation and monitoring of business systems
  • Demonstrated initiative and sound organisational skills with the ability to identify priorities and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated sound research, conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to provide innovative thinking in problem solving
  • Demonstrated well developed computer skills, including the ability to create, operate, manipulate databases, spreadsheets and extract reports
  • Demonstrated sound written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels and work effectively in a team environment
