Role Summary:
The Water Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring effective water management practices on-site. This position is vital for maintaining compliance with environmental regulations and standards, particularly in relation to water management activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily water management operations, ensuring adherence to environmental protocols.
- Conduct water sampling and analysis to support environmental compliance.
- Collaborate with construction teams to address water-related environmental issues.
- Facilitate communication regarding environmental standards and water management procedures.
- Coordinate environmental water sampling across various project sites.
- Review and analyze data to provide insights for stakeholders.
- Implement and uphold the Environmental Management Strategy and related documentation.
- Foster a proactive environmental culture within the team.
- Engage with the Environmental Team to address emerging issues and compliance requirements.
- Participate in construction planning meetings to ensure environmental considerations are integrated.
- Identify training needs related to environmental management.
- Assist with additional tasks as directed by the Environmental Management team.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Environmental Management or a related field.
- Valid Driver's License.
- White Card certification.
Experience:
- At least one year of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with construction personnel and stakeholders.
Essential Skills:
- Strong decision-making skills aligned with environmental management requirements.
- Commitment to proactive water management practices.
- Excellent analytical and data management capabilities.
- Effective communication and report writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Environment:
