Improve Animal Care as a Veterinary Nurse

The role of a veterinary nurse is multifaceted and involves providing exceptional care to animals in need. This position requires a passion for delivering high-quality service, coupled with the ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing skilled and professional support to veterinary staff, ensuring seamless patient care coordination.
  • Assessing, monitoring, and maintaining excellent husbandry standards for patients in ICU, isolation, and hospital wards.
  • Liaising confidently and competently with veterinarians and support staff regarding patient treatment and care.
  • Undertaking correct care, cleaning, and maintenance of technical and specialised instrumentation and equipment.
  • Assisting with radiography, Computer Tomography, Scintigraphy, and M.R.I. procedures.
  • Competently performing diagnostic clinical pathology techniques.
  • Providing administrative support to clinic staff as required and assisting with reception duties in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Adhering to SOPs (standard operating procedures) for Nursing and contributing to review of SOPs.
  • Providing clinical training/teaching support for students.
  • Providing a high level of customer service to clients, both by phone and in person.
  • Assisting with management of pharmacy inventory.
