Transport Planner Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team at Primary Connect, a leading food and retail supply chain network in Australia and New Zealand. As a Transport Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate day-to-day planning of secondary freight from Victorian DCs to stores, aligning with store window guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily transport planning activities in our Transport Management System (TMS)
- Plan all orders types, IWTs, 3PL (Lineage) Regional customers, and Primary Connect load tenders
- Communicate all planning changes to the DC and 3PL (Lineage)
- Collate and accuracy of all NDC and LDC cross-dock pallets in TMS
- Investigate any causes and associated impacts to safety, cost, or service performance
Requirements:
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to work to strict service level agreements
- Understanding of transport allocation and/or fleet controlling, including load planning
- Excellent systems and computer skills, with the ability to adapt to new systems
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Effective problem-solving skills and high level of customer service
- Excellent knowledge of the metropolitan area
- Exposure to the Transport and Logistics industry (preferred)
