About the Role

This role is a unique opportunity for an Aboriginal person to join our team as an Aboriginal Community Liaison Officer in Redfern.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain close relationships with Elders, Leaders, and members of the Aboriginal community in Redfern.
  • Provide advice and support to commands in managing local Aboriginal issues.
  • Develop network contacts to strengthen cooperation and communication between the police and the community.
Requirements
  • Be of Aboriginal descent and be accepted by the Aboriginal community.
  • Hold a current driver's licence with no traffic offences recorded on their driving history within the last six months or NSW Police Force Bronze Certification.
  • A Working With Children Check (WWCC) is a prerequisite for this role.
