Job Title:

Route Assessment Support Officer

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and make a real difference in the community.

As a key role in the State Government, you will be part of a dynamic team that assesses requests and issues appropriate Permits for Restricted Access Vehicles (RAV).

  • Assess requests and issue appropriate Permits for RAV.
  • Provide timely and accurate advice to customers on RAV related matters.
  • Provide responsive advice to enable timely and efficient processing, issue, and reissue of permits.
  • Participate and provide support for the planning and technical functions associated with RAVS access to the road network.
  • Perform route assessments for safety, access or infrastructure and development initiatives.
  • Provide advice and assistance to the Heavy Vehicle Services Helpdesk in attending and resolving customer enquiries.
  • Build and maintain professional and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders by providing a responsive and accurate information service.

Requirements: Customer focused, proactive and a team player, able to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role.
