Job Title: Stablehand

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced stable hand to join our team. As a key member of the racing yard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of our horses.

Responsibilities include:

  • Saddling up and hosing horses
  • Grooming and maintaining the highest standards of horse care
  • Identifying any discrepancies with a horse's behavior or health

Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are essential.

A high level of physical fitness and stamina is also required due to the demanding nature of the role.

Benefits

A competitive remuneration package is on offer, and race day strapping is optional for full-time stablehands.

Work Arrangements

Split shift daily hours are 3am to 8:30am and 1pm to 3:30pm.

Working at this time requires adaptability and flexibility, and the successful candidate must be willing to adjust their routine accordingly.
