Job Title: Lead Educator for Young Minds

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our after-school educational program, working collaboratively with the Director of Early Learning and Educational Leader. The position involves implementing a supportive, innovative learning environment that caters to children aged 3-5.

The centre offers a bilingual program, extended hours from 7:30am to 6:00pm, and focuses on inquiry, language learning, music, diversity, and excellence in line with the National Quality Framework.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the educational program from 3:00pm to 6:00pm during term time, providing meaningful and authentic learning experiences each afternoon.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Early Learning and Educational Leader to coordinate, lead, and implement the program during term breaks.
  • Inspire and guide a team of educators, fostering a positive, collaborative, and enriching learning environment for staff and children.

Requirements:
  • A recognised university qualification in Early Childhood Teaching
  • NESA registration
  • First aid, CPR, anaphylaxis, and asthma certifications
  • Child Protection training or willingness to obtain
  • Willingness to be the Responsible Person
  • Safe Food Supervisor qualifications or willingness to obtain
  • Availability to work 10:30am - 6:10pm Monday - Friday during term time and flexible shift times during term breaks
  • Understanding of current early education and care legislation, regulations, and pedagogy
  • Previous leadership experience in an early education setting (desirable)
  • High level interpersonal skills, initiative, and proactive problem solving
  • Strengths-based approach in working with children, families, and colleagues
  • Working With Children Check
  • Sound computer skills
