Community Wellbeing Practitioner

Mind Australia Limited is a leading employer of people with lived experience of mental health challenges, recognising their unique ability to connect with and motivate clients and guide recovery.
We are seeking a self-motivated and empathetic Community Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in the Clifton Hill area. The successful candidate will deliver person-centred, recovery-oriented care to support young people aged 16-25 years who are recovering from a disability associated with a psychiatric condition.
The role involves delivering high-quality services, facilitating positive educational and social experiences, and providing information and mentoring to clients to establish relationships with families and friends. You will also plan and deliver group programs that aid clients to build their skills and focus on recovery.
To be successful in this role, you will require tertiary qualifications in Youth Work, Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or another health-related field. You must also have expertise in working with young people with mental health issues, complex needs, and interacting with families and carers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Tertiary qualifications in Youth Work, Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or another health-related field.
- Expertise in working with young people with mental health issues, complex needs, and interacting with families and carers.
- Proven capability to implement therapeutic, recovery-oriented frameworks and practices including risk mitigation, trauma-informed care, and family-inclusive practice.
- Relevant experience in facilitating group activities for clients experiencing mental ill health.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Community Services sector and ability to build strong relationships with service providers, clinical teams, and key stakeholders.
