About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our Radiology team in Australia. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining relationships with key physicians, scientists, and diagnostic providers.

Your primary responsibility will be to act as a scientific expert and liaison between Bayer and the medical community, discussing scientific data and ensuring that thought leaders and organizations have access to relevant information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain long-term scientific and strategic relationships with key physicians, scientists, and diagnostic providers.
  • Drive awareness of Radiology products and relevant diagnostic modalities through the dissemination and discussion of scientific and clinical data.
  • Provide medical and scientific support to Medical Societies and HCPs regarding Bayer products, in collaboration with the Medical Information team.
  • Contribute to the organization of advisory boards and medical educational events.
  • Attend congresses and conventions to learn new scientific and clinical data and engage with thought leaders.
  • Gather competitive intelligence to inform brand strategy.
  • Plan and organize scientific training and education events with thought leaders in their specific therapeutic area or product.
  • Act as a point of contact for investigators, facilitating the interface with investigators and Bayer personnel responsible for approval and communication of study progress and completion.
  • Provide assistance to Medical Advisors and Market Access by supporting presentations of new information to hospital formularies and reimbursement.
Requirements
  • A strong background in radiology, with experience in medical imaging, contrast agents, radiopharmaceuticals, or related fields is preferred.
  • An advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline is required, such as MD, PhD, PharmD, DVM, MSc, or equivalent degrees in fields such as Radiology, Medical Imaging, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related areas.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical or scientific role within the pharmaceutical, medical imaging, biotechnology, or medical device sector is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience engaging with KOLs/TLs is preferred.
  • Excellent presentation and written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting scientific data and academic/scientific writing.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with thorough attention to detail, ensuring timely follow-through and closure with thought leaders, fellow MSLs, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
