Job Title: Senior Rail Designer/Engineer

Lycopodium is a global engineering and project delivery services company operating across resources, infrastructure, and industrial processes sectors. We are seeking an experienced Senior Rail Designer/Engineer to join our growing team in Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain professional working relationships with clients to facilitate project wins for the design team.
  • Maintain high-quality output from the multi-discipline engineering and drafting team to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Ensure technical solutions comply with design review processes and quality requirements.
  • Monitor project design team progress and performance, providing input and feedback as needed.
  • Coach and mentor engineers and draftspersons through practical guidance during design and commissioning phases.
  • Provide technical support and input to proposals, customer presentations, and marketing activities.
  • Prepare design scope, budget, and schedule for written proposals.

Requirements:

  • 10 years of post-graduate experience in Civil Engineering or a Design Delivery Role.
  • Proven experience in Rail and wider civil projects.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
  • Chartered status with Engineers Australia (CPEng) is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience managing client interactions on design and drafting issues.
  • High attention to detail and knowledge of engineering designs and calculations.
  • Experience in Design and Project Management.
