Job Overview

This is a part-time cleaner role that requires internal and external cleaning duties. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe school environment.

The Role

We are looking for a diligent and organized individual who can work well independently and as part of a team to ensure the cleanliness of our school premises. The successful candidate will be required to perform various cleaning tasks, including dusting, window cleaning, toilet cleaning, and rubbish removal.

Responsibilities
  • Internal cleaning duties: maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, and rubbish removal.
  • External cleaning duties: cleaning verandas and covered areas, rubbish removal, cleaning drinking troughs, window cleaning, cobweb removal.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess good attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You will also need to have excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures.

Eligibility

  • Obtain a valid Working With Children Check.
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department's Screening Unit before you start.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
