Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Graduate Accountant to join our team at RSM Australia. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, income tax returns, FBT returns, BAS, and superannuation fund creation.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early career professional to develop their skills and expertise in accounting and finance. You will work closely with our experienced team to deliver high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare year-end financial statements for various companies and trusts, including those listed on the ASX and small family-owned businesses.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and prepare reports in line with Australian accounting and auditing standards.
  • Prepare income tax returns, FBT returns, GST returns, and BAS.
  • Create, manage, and maintain superannuation funds, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Business/Commerce degree with an Accounting major.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Previous work experience in professional services is desirable.
