The role available is for an experienced Machine Operator to join our afternoon shift team in a steel production workshop environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Operating controls, loading and unloading steel bars, setting bend angles, and inspecting quality parts in accordance with requirements
  • Ensuring the machine is prepared at the start of each shift to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Examining completed steel pieces for defects such as chipped edges or any other form of imperfection
  • Placing finished steel pieces on a rack or pallet with relevant tags prior to loading, following a predetermined schedule
  • Identifying and removing non-conforming materials, ensuring they do not compromise product quality

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • Able to pass a drug and alcohol screening test
  • Physical fitness to perform manual handling duties of steel products and repetitive use of tools

This temporary to permanent position operates on an afternoon shift, with working hours spanning Monday to Thursday (2pm-10:10pm) and Friday (midday-6pm), with opportunities for overtime. Interested candidates can arrange a confidential discussion by contacting us directly.
