Axxess Group Pty Ltd, a leading provider of painting services in Melbourne, is seeking an experienced full-time Painter to join their team.
With over 20 years of combined experience in the painting and construction industry, Axxess Group Pty Ltd has established itself as a reputable company in Melbourne's heritage restoration scene.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and painting various surfaces, ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and within specified timeframes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling cracks or holes as necessary.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment, ensuring even coverage and smooth finishes.
- Mix paints to achieve desired colours, taking into account factors such as lighting and surface texture.
- Produce work to quality standards and budgets.
- Protect surfaces from paint splatter or other damage during the painting process, using masking tape, drop cloths, or other protective materials.
Requirements:
- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or at least 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of the qualification.
- At least a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in surface preparation techniques, paint application methods, and colour mixing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and best practices.
- Valid drivers' licence
- EWP licence would be useful.
- Red/ white card
- Working with children check useful
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position is approximately $40.00 per hour, with an expected 40 hours of work per week.
