About the Role

This Asset Engineer position with Public Sector People is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to manage Council's building assets effectively. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in asset management, project management, and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and implement asset management plans to ensure optimal performance of Council's buildings.
  • Conduct regular maintenance inspections to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for enhancement.
  • Manage capital works projects from tendering to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
  • Oversee a diverse range of assets including depots, offices, community centres, sporting facilities, and commercial premises.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Building Construction, Facilities Management, or Buildings Asset Management are essential.
  • Proven experience in sustainable building practices, stakeholder management, and contractor negotiation is required.
  • Demonstrated high-level communication and report writing skills, as well as strong organizational and prioritization abilities.

Benefits
