Director of Human Capital and Culture

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Human Capital and Culture to drive career development, learning, and engagement initiatives. This role involves shaping early-career programs that attract and nurture emerging talent.

The ideal candidate will provide strategic and operational support, working closely with leaders to drive talent management, learning, and development initiatives.

You will play a vital role in identifying and nurturing emerging talent within high-performing teams, working closely with managers to support their ongoing career development.

You will establish graduate programs and other early-career initiatives, ensuring a structured, engaging experience for new joiners.

The ideal candidate is passionate about people development, career progression, and building future talent pipelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create career development strategies and high-performance plans that align with business objectives.
  • Design and implement strategic learning and development initiatives to empower employees to continuously improve and grow.
  • Manage performance reviews, probationary assessments, and career milestone processes to ensure consistency and fairness.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance and career development.
  • Develop and execute an early-career program to attract and nurture emerging talent.
  • Analyse People metrics to provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives to enhance the employee experience.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing culture.
  • Stay up-to-date with employment legislation and best practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and workplace relations legislation.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to manage HR projects and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, and experience in internal communications.
  • Experience with Culture Amp is preferred.
