A leading player in the Gas, Engineering & Healthcare Industries requires a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their team at their site in Brisbane. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for completing compliance maintenance activities on time and performing mechanical maintenance activities including breakdown, preventive, planned and unscheduled work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Completing compliance maintenance activities on time
  • Performing mechanical maintenance activities including breakdown, preventive, planned and unscheduled work as well as minor project work to achieve plant uptime
  • Troubleshooting
  • Developing and maintaining detailed knowledge of the production process and plant equipment to ensure breakdowns are reduced or eliminated over time

You will have the opportunity to work with our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for maintenance scheduling, execution and record keeping. In addition, you will assist with continuous improvement of the plant including project work at times.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and eliminate the cause of the faults
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and schedule daily tasks and small project work
  • Demonstrated experience working with CMMS system
  • Fitter/Machinist Trade qualification
  • 5 years' experience in a related manufacturing maintenance environment
  • Fault finding and diagnostics experience is highly desirable
