Geriatrician Consultant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Geriatrician Consultant to join our team at JPS Medical in Tasmania. As a key member of our Department of Geriatric Medicine, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and contributing to the development of innovative geriatric care solutions.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to work in a major clinical teaching and research centre. You will be part of a dynamic team that provides services to a population of approximately 240,000 people and has 550 physical beds. The Emergency Department provides care for patients annually, with approximately 25% of the case load being paediatric.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Hold or be eligible for registration with AHPRA
  • Possess at least 12 months recent Geriatric Medicine experience
  • Be on the RACP training program
  • Hold or be eligible for the FRACP
  • Be an IMG eligible for the Competent Authority Pathway (UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ)
  • Have an RACP interview date
  • Have been assessed by RACP and found to be substantially comparable
