About the Job

The User Experience team is a multi-disciplinary group of designers, researchers, writers, content strategists, program managers, and engineers. We care deeply about the people who use our products.

We collaborate closely with each other and with engineering and product management to create industry-leading products that deliver value for the people who use them.

As an Interaction Designer, you'll rely on user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences—from concept to execution.

  • Drive User Experience (UX) design for key sharing flows and establish partnerships with third-party apps.
  • Translate user needs into compelling designs through user journeys, storyboards, low/high-fidelity mockups, detailed interaction specifications, and interactive prototypes.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders across Google to understand requirements and provide solutions.
  • Work with User Researchers to develop research hypotheses and actively participate in user research studies, advocating for the prioritization of design-centered changes, refinements, and improvements.
  • Manage work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, delivering clear, detailed design solutions under tight deadlines while maintaining a balance of strategic thinking and attention to detail.
Qualifications
  • Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design for consumer-facing products, experience designing across multiple platforms.
  • Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience, 2 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization, 1 year of experience leading design projects.
