About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Exercise Physiologist to join our team at LifeWorks Brisbane. As a key member of our Allied Health team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating exercise interventions within a client-focused and goal-centred framework.

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent clinical services related to assessment, treatment, planning, and evidence-based practice. Your expertise will enable you to identify and support client goal setting, collaborate with internal and external providers, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identification of rehabilitation and disability support for clients
  • Development of individualised client interventions, therapy support plans, and treatment
  • Delivering excellent clinical services related to assessment, treatment, planning, and evidence-based practice
  • Identification and support of client goal setting
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary Allied Health team
  • Referrals to internal and external providers
  • Participation in ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with latest research and treatment techniques

To succeed in this role, you will have a balanced approach to supporting a diverse caseload and be committed to whole person care, ensuring quality support to your customers.

Your dedication to enriching the lives of our customers will enable you to provide information, advice, and support about exercise to help them manage diverse conditions.

Requirements
  • A degree in Exercise Physiology
  • Accreditation with Exercise Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
  • Ability to work independently as a sole clinician and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Previous experience working within private hospital or rehabilitation environment desirable
  • Previous experience working with neurological disorders is desirable
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Strong commitment and professionalism to customer-centred care
  • Experience building long-lasting patient relationships
  • Highly motivated and positive attitude
