The Procurement Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the Logistics Operations Manager by handling routine purchase orders, approving and controlling inventory.
This part-time opportunity averages 25 hours per week with flexible start and finish times between 8 and 4 am.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- A highly motivated professional with some experience in warehouse/purchasing of goods.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work unsupervised and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and ability to build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
This position involves receiving inventory requests, raising purchase orders in our Excel-based system, contacting suppliers to place orders, and following up on outstanding orders. Additionally, the Procurement Specialist will communicate stock delivery dates to internal stakeholders, assist with coordinating distribution of stock to delivery points internally, and help internal stakeholders with purchasing requirements.
