Job Title: Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team at Virtusa. As a Senior Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing applications with Java EE and microservices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop applications with Java EE and microservices
  • Work with diverse application architectures
  • Develop expertise in working with Oracle databases and optimizing database performance
  • Experience with Axon for building scalable and distributed applications
  • Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with Docker for containerization
  • Use Maven for project management and build automation
  • Hands-on experience with OpenShift for container orchestration and management
  • Implement security measures using Spring Security within Spring applications
  • Design and implement API gateways for efficient communication
  • Familiarity with Code Fresh for continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • Utilize Splunk and Dynatrace for monitoring and log analysis
  • Develop applications using the Spring Boot framework
  • Experience with using Rabbit MQ/ ActiveMQ for efficient message queuing and communication
  • Advanced knowledge of Git for version control and collaborative development
  • Build and deploy microservices using Spring Cloud
  • Set up and manage continuous integration pipelines with Jenkins
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines
  • Advanced knowledge of JUnit for writing and executing unit tests in Java
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for database management and query optimization
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Developer/Architect with Fixed income experience
  • Expertise in designing and developing applications with Java EE and microservices
  • Expertise working with diverse application architectures
  • Very good knowledge of design patterns
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
