Care and Empathy in Catering Operations

We are seeking a professional who can lead our catering team with passion, integrity, and a focus on patient/customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the management team to oversee catering operations, ensuring compliance with company standards, policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
- Focus on food safety and infection control by implementing and monitoring relevant safety and hygiene procedures and practices.
- Monitor food quality and service, particularly in the Mental Health Centre.
- Manage the catering roster, including shift coverage and accurate payroll data entry.
- Effectively communicate and liaise with multiple stakeholders.
- Maintain a strong focus on patient/customer satisfaction.
- Monitor stock and waste control processes.
- Facilitate on-the-job staff training when required.

The Ideal Candidate:

- Previous experience in a supervisory role within catering.
- Certificate 3 Commercial Cookery qualification, with a willingness to undertake cooking duties when required.
- Established positive and proactive people management skills.
- Solution-focused outlook with a keen eye for detail.
- Well-developed accurate and professional administrative skills.
- Experience with large team rostering.
- Familiarity with internal and external healthcare-centered auditing processes.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday (38 hours), with potential to work until 6pm each day.
