Livestock Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pig Farmer to join our client's team in Joadja, NSW. As a Pig Farmer, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the farm, including management of breeding, farrowing, weaning, and growing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Management of the daily operation of the farm with minor supervision
• General operation management, including feeding management and administrative tasks
• Leading a small team or groups and ability to train new members
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Advance knowledge in animal husbandry, animal welfare and legislation, piggery production, and OH&S

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Agriculture or higher equivalent
• At least 3 years recent relevant work experience

About the Role:

This is a full-time position which may involve weekend work and some unplanned hours of work where the need arises. The successful candidate will have strong communication and time management skills, be self-motivated, and have the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
