Driver for Special Needs Children

We are currently seeking a responsible and compassionate driver to transport children with special needs in the Newcastle region.

The successful applicant will be responsible for safely transporting children to and from school using company-provided vehicles. This casual work is usually carried out during NSW school terms and involves working morning and afternoon split shifts.

The ideal candidate will be well presented, comfortable working with special needs children and their families, have excellent verbal communication skills, and share our core values of teamwork, patience, respect, honesty and integrity.

A rigorous screening process will be conducted for all applicants, including a clean criminal record and good driving history. Applicants must hold an unrestricted Class C licence or above and be willing to undergo a driving test administered by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport children to and from school
  • Ensure the comfort and safety of children during transport
  • Develop positive relationships with children and their families

Requirements:

  • Unrestricted Class C licence or above
  • Good driving history
  • Clean criminal record
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
