Expert Town Planner

As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a pivotal role in our development project team, leveraging your extensive experience to ensure project approval and success.

You will elevate our projects by ensuring they meet all necessary information, documentation, and details requirements. You will provide valuable insights into the project's future and developmental plans for suburbs, driving strategic growth and improvement.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting research on current urban issues and developing strategies to address them
• Staying up-to-date on local and national building ordinances and codes
• Preparing Variation Statements and Statement of Environmental Effects (primarily for residential and mixed-use projects)
• Creating detailed reports and plans for rural development proposals
• Meting with local council members to discuss proposals
• Gathering paperwork for project applications
• Scheduling meetings with development professionals
• Negotiating with council members to secure approval for development proposals
• Gathering evidence for appeals to the council
• Lodging Development and Modification Applications
• Managing relationships with local councils and agencies
• Assisting with Land & Environment Court appeals

To excel in this role, you will need:

• Fomal Town Planning qualifications
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Town Planning, ideally with a background in Private Development/Building, consultancy, or local/state government in NSW
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in statutory planning and the NSW planning system
