Job Opportunity: Child and Family Health Social Worker

This permanent full-time role involves delivering social work services to children and their families, based at Gosford Community Health Centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive psycho-social assessments and therapeutic counseling to achieve optimal health outcomes for children and families.
  • Foster healthy relationships through individual and family counseling/therapy, group work, and facilitating referrals to partner services.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues to contribute to service development, evaluation, and education for staff and students.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Holds tertiary qualifications in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Demonstrated understanding of the current AASW Practice Standards as they relate to the Social Worker Level 1/2 - Child and Family Health position.
  • Strong interest in advancing therapeutic counseling skills and experience with brief or longer-term interventions and group work.
