Early Childhood Educator Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Room Leader. This is a full-time role that offers a competitive salary, opportunities for growth and development, and the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children.

About the Role

This position involves providing high-quality education, care, and support to children aged 0-5 years. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of educators and ensuring that the room provides a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment that promotes children's learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide high-quality education and care to children, including planning and implementing programs that meet their individual needs and interests.
  2. Lead and manage a team of educators, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure they have the skills and confidence to provide excellent care and education.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote child safety and wellbeing, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  4. Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, and contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture.
  5. Communicate effectively with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress and involving them in decision-making processes.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in an early childhood setting
  • Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF
  • Ability to lead and manage a team of educators
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current Working with Children Check (Employee)
