The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is seeking dedicated individuals to provide exceptional patient transport services. As a part of our Mobile Patient Care (MPC) team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients in need of non-emergency transport.
About RFDS
Established in 1928, the RFDS is a leading charity in Australia, committed to providing emergency and primary health services to rural and remote communities. Our Mobile Patient Care division operates primarily in Victoria and New South Wales, utilizing a fleet of ambulances and aircraft to ensure patients receive the care they need.
Role Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide appropriate interventions during transport.
- Deliver compassionate and professional care to patients throughout their journey.
- Foster positive relationships with patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare stakeholders.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions in line with RFDS MPC guidelines and regulations.
- Work independently and as part of a team, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Stay informed about RFDS MPC policies and NEPT regulations to ensure best practices are followed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance) or equivalent qualification recognized by RFDS.
- Registered Nurse with relevant experience in non-emergency patient transport is also considered.
- Valid Victorian Driver's License with the ability to navigate various traffic conditions.
- Availability to work a flexible roster, including day shifts.
