This position delivers high-quality clinical services to individuals with complex emotional and behavioral mental health needs in a variety of hospital and community settings.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care to consumers with acute mental health issues.
- Apply professional knowledge and skills in clinical decision making under the supervision of senior clinical staff.
- Contribute to the clinical education of students and other less experienced staff in consultation with senior clinical staff.
- Deliver care in a variety of hospital and community settings.
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Credentialing through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or be prepared to work towards a credential in Mental Health Nursing).
- A graduate certificate or greater within a relevant specialty area is highly desirable.
- Driver Licence.
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B.
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required.
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (Gold Coast Health will cover cost).
