The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Piping and Pipeline Specialist to join our client on a contract basis in Perth.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, coordinating and reviewing plant design and piping work on projects having specialized requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, select and apply standard plant design and piping engineering including input into original design layouts, details, drawings and specifications.
  • Develop and interpret design criteria and specifications for most complex plant design and piping infrastructure in a global business unit.
  • Examine and analyse pipe configurations for ANSI/ASME code compliance.
  • Optimise facility layout based on piping and instrument requirements.
  • Engineer and design buried and above-ground water pipelines including pipe restraints and consider.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
  • Competent with pipe analysis software – Caesar II and/or Autopipe.
  • Familiarity with FluidFlow3 a bonus.
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction of piping installation, hydrotesting and pneumatic pipe testing, with knowledge of Navisworks and/or Smartplant Reviewer preferred.
  • TEAMWorks, Fighter Tools, Inforworx or Aconex, BPS or DSCS, PTR or Unifier, Agile, Navisworks, and other automation tools.
  • Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
